Trained in marine geosciences, I consider myself a metamorphic petrologist interested in fluid–seafloor interactions and their physical, chemical, and biologic consequences. My research includes investigating element fluxes, redox changes, and hydrogen production associated with the hydrothermal alteration of mafic & ultramafic rocks during their journey from mid-ocean ridge to shallow subduction settings.
As a recipient of the Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, I currently work at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) with Chris German, Jeff Seewald, and Frieder Klein. My project aims at deriving a deeper understanding of hydrothermal systems on the Gakkel Ridge. |
